About Me

CURRENT MISSION

meet people!

ABOUT ME

I'm a Brooklyn native who is really into music (playing it, listening to it, talking about it, reading about it, writing about it, etc), political activism, and teaching, among many other things. I'm trying to keep doing all of these things right now, which is tough but very rewarding. I'm always happy to meet people with similar interests but I am also very open to new and different experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Listen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed for a bit of time during a cycling trip in France last summer, it was amazing! I also hosted a traveler from Germany who was in the middle of a yearlong trip through the States and Canada a few months ago, another great experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy a lot of avant garde and more traditional jazz and classical music, improvised music, all types of popular music, and many different kinds of musics from around the world.
Movies: I've really been into Bahman Ghobadi's films lately.
Books: who owns music? by William Parker and Pauolo Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed both had a huge impact on me recently
