Music, Movies, and Books

So much, but I love music and books slightly more than movies.

Music: Old school hip hop, electro, jazz, samba, classical, reggae, classic rock, alternative rock, downtempo, minimalist, shoe gaze, soul, funk. If I could only listen to one artist for the rest of my life it'd be James Brown cos he "feels good".

Books: 100 Years of Solitude, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (Bladerunner), Calvin and Hobbes, The Little Prince, Dune, A Short History of Everything, The Left Hand of Darkness,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After 2 days summited Mt San Jancinto (Longest Vertical Climb in the US) at 6PM after slogging through snow for the last 3 hours. Coming back got lost under a snowy mountain. Followed the peaks and stars in complete wilderness for 3 hours with my partner until we finally found the trail again.

2 hours later, found a new love for frozen gas station burritos.
Made it back home just in time to tell Mom.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to program, read probability distributions, and how to be an awesome nerd. I can share my travels, challenges, and philosophies.

I'm keen on learning more about my interests (above), but more importantly, just be yourself :) and I'll learn more than I thought possible.

I'm passionate about new forms of education, and I'm working on a related technology project, always up for discussions about our pursuits and projects.
