Overview
About Me
I recently retired from a business career in the floral and IT industries but keep life interesting with projects like floral design, pet sitting, and web design. Right now, I’m traveling and house-sitting while exploring where to put down roots next—California, Nevada, or Utah are all calling my name!
I’m passionate about personal growth, meaningful conversations, and volunteering. Animals, especially dogs, have always been a big part of my life—I’ve been pet sitting since I was nine and even completed CPR certification for dogs. Whether on a trail or at home, I love connecting with furry friends.
Family means everything to me. I have close ties with my daughters, who live in Salt Lake City and Davis, CA, and my parents, who live in Sparks, NV. Emotional intelligence and love languages guide my relationships, and I believe in finding ways to add joy to people’s lives.
I’m currently in Reno but am considering moving here. I'll also be traveling to California and Utah. I enjoy hiking, being in nature, and cheering on soccer matches (former player, referee, and coach).
I look forward to meeting others on this beneficial network.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m traveling and house/pet sitting, with occasional gaps of a day or two between commitments. During these times, I love spending evenings with family, friends, or new friends I haven’t met yet! Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to find a place to stay while building connections, sharing stories, and creating memorable experiences with others along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Mt Whitney in a day and loved it! The weather was perfect, and no elevation issues (I was concerned). I also conquered my life-long fear of heights.
