About Me
Hello, I'm Scott. I have been living in the Midwest my whole life, starting in Milwaukee, then Madison, then Minneapolis, and have been in Chicago for 2 years now. A friend told me they were a rational hippie and I feel like that label describes me fairly well: rational - interested in learning, making the world a better place, engineering/science and hippie - valuing health, sustainability, arts, nature, relationships, alternative lifestyles, travel, ect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Generally I think traveling by getting to talk to people to live there is my favorite way to travel. I like getting to know the people and how they live and what they think. I like good conversations and domestic life more than I like going out for night-time socializing. I hoping to host people now because I have been interested in meeting new people and hearing about their lives to learn new things and get exposed to new ideas.
Interests
I feel like my interests are quite varied because I generally just like novel experiences and learning how the world works. Most recently I would say I spend my non working hours exploring arts and nature, doing contact improvisation, and trying to pursue a healthy and happy lifestyle which includes eating good food, exercising, relationships and maybe some meditation and reflection.
