I'm an outgoing guy who likes to travel, meet people from all over the world and get outside! Maybe my references say it better, I hate writing about myself...

I'm living my mission at the top of page. Some other thoughts, work to live, don't live to work. You only go around once, so make it count! If you are on the right path the universe will conspire to help you make it happen.

Hosted for a couple of years before I surfed my first couch. Now I'm addicted to both!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Best idea EVER! It brings the world's cultures together for the good of all concerned. I've met some of the most influential people in my life through CS.

I love having the world come to me while I'm home, and meeting local people and learning from them whilst travelling.

Interests

There's not much I won't have a crack at, I may not be any good at it, but I'll try. I'm hooked on golf, pickleball, jogging, hiking (anything that gets me outside really), reading, movies, chai tea, photography, board-games (especially Scrabble and Yahtzee) and I love listening to tales from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list, I love the Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Guillermo del Toro, Christopher Nolan, Stanley Kubrik. I love nature documentaries, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Californication, Boy Swallows Universe, Breaking Bad and almost all music. As for books, I loved Andre Agassi's autobiography 'Open' and I'm now working my way through Orson Scott Card's 'Ender' titles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sit still and I'll tell you. I met my wonderful wife thanks to CS and the universe conspiring in my favour. Hiking out of the Grand Canyon from 40°C into a snowstorm. Camping in Yosemite and Zion National Parks. Highlights from NZ include staying on a farm with Craig in Otorohanga and surfing with Jason in Hokitika with 4 other surfers, a dog, a cat, and a private cinema screening.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love tasting the regional food wherever I may be. I can also cook a pretty good barbecue or pizza if you're keen! I can help plan your trip around Oz. After hosting a lot of people and learning from their success and mistakes we can make your $$$ go further.
