About Me

Quit my job, gave away most of my possessions, set out on an adventure to put the rest of the world in perspective and start getting the most out of life.

I'm easy going, open minded and a believer that we should always give out positive vibes and help where we can.

Was given the nickname happy because of my positive can do attitude and always wearing a smile. Often found saying "she'll be right mate" in the face of hardship.

Started volunteering at a hostel in the Corcovado rainforest where I learnt to love living without mains power and how they haven't produced garbage in a decade as plastic can be melted (not burnt) into building blocks/stools.
Went to Mexico and learnt to dive to conquer my fear of the ocean.
Then travelled coast to coast in the states and Canada making sure to see as much natural beauty as I could. Enjoyed some time in the UK, many places throughout Europe and South Africa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet the locals and understand the city from their perspective rather than do all the touristy things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Grew up listening to punk and metal but you can find me singing along to Miley Cyrus or enjoying some electric swing and everything in-between.

Favourite movie is The Matrix. Usually watching a comedy or action/sci-fi but I don't tend to watch many movies these days as I could be experiencing or learning something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Implemented an oxygen safety system in a pharmaceutical factory.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make fairy bread which is a staple of every Australian childhood. Unfortunately there isn't much else uniquely Australian except some slang.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Acceptable cooking skills, computer / electrical help, my movie/tv collection and willing to help out around the house.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United States
