About Me
On the surface- Hello all! I'm 20 but my soul feels 100. I have a beautifully optimistic view of life am overly friendly and can't stop smiling at all the incredible things in this world. I usually feel immediately comfortable with whoever I meet. If I don't, I investigate why. I listen more than I speak and will show nothing but respect, regardless of if I receive it. I believe rudeness comes from misunderstanding, and will attempt to communicate my thoughts and feelings openly. The world seems a bit brighter when people feel they don't need to hide :) If you have culture to share I want to know about it! If you have a wildly controversial perspective, share it! I'd rather spend the whole night talking through beautiful and complex ideas than drinking into a blur (though I suppose there is a time and place for everything). I like exploring, discussing uncommon topics, and experiencing new things. I'm far more comfortable in nature than in the city. I'm great at small talk, but I don't enjoy it. I'd rather get to know someone through their beliefs, not opinions ;)
Under the surface- A series of insightful experiences throughout my life have embedded within me deep philosophical perspectives. I take nothing for granted and have no room in my mind for pessimism or negativity. My biggest fears include offending or hurting anyone. My journey is motivated by my confidence in the benevolence of mankind. I have seen how this world is, and I have seen how it could be. I am always trying to challenge destructive social trends and help the world move toward a more sane, secure, loving reality. Currently, I am attending University, not for a degree or job security, but for knowledge. While studying, I hope to obtain the necessary tools to help structure a truly free society in this crucial tipping point on humanities timeline.
With all that being said, I swear I will be the most easygoing person you've ever met. I want to laugh and love and learn, and I want the same for everyone. Needless to say, I am completely nonviolent, though I will not hesitate to kill mosquitos. They suck and I hate them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is sweet. I'm going to host when I find home. Staying with sincere people is far more rewarding than hostel stays. I've made lifelong friends here and couchsurfing is the ultimate tool to find people like myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I believe the actions we take every day will echo an eternity. Anything you do is amazing! I spent a year travelling alone at the age of 18 through Europe, volunteering and couch surfing. I did it again when I turned 20, this time making it to Vietnam where I bought a cheap motorcycle and rode the Ho Chi Min Highway for several weeks before crashing and continuing to Cambodia and Thailand by bus. I find it hard to brag about anything I've done, but I am proud of my ability to be brutally honest with myself. It's what keeps me moving forward.
Teach, Learn, Share
My aim at the moment is self-improvement. I want to understand my inner workings like a watchmaker understands a clock.
I am trying to discover more about effective global peace movements, and draw attention the source of the world's biggest problems as well as conceptualize and spread the solutions. If you have knowledge to share, please let me know : )
What I Can Share with Hosts
Insight into American culture and society from within. I travel on my British passport, though the accent is hard to hide.
I'm not great at talking about celebrities, pop culture, sports or gossip. But if you are looking for stimulating, thoughtful, even philosophical conversation, I think we will get along! :) Thank you all for opening your homes to people like myself. It won't be forgotten.
