About Me

Hello fellow couchsurfers, we are Scott and Wendy!

ABOUT US

We are a Taiwanese couple traveling the world for one year. Traveling has always been our passion, and this year we decided to quit our jobs and explore the world! We are easygoing, optimistic, and keen to learn about this world. Also, we wanted to capture all the great moments and culture experience we had on film, so we started a youtube channel and hope to convey our philosophy to the world. The WORLD we live in is AMAZING, and we want people to know that although we have different cultures and background, everyone can be quite similar in a way that we are kind to others, friendly and thoughtful. Let's make the world a better place!

We have travelled from India to Pakistan then through the Silk Road of China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan to Iran, passing through the Caucasus states of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Now we are currently traveling in the Baltic states and will go to South America soon!

We would be more than happy if you could host us. We are looking forward to sharing our stories and culture with yours, and most importantly making friends!

Scott is a doctor just got his M.D degree.
Wendy was a project manager at TikTok.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with Keita once in Japan. He was such a nice host, showing me around and hanging out with me. And we actually met up in Taiwan after that. It was a pleasant and unforgettable experience, and I'm certain that's what couchsufing is meant for.

I stayed with Mahdi and his family in Tabriz. ! I had four great days with Mahdi and his family, and they literally treated me like their own. Mahdi is not like any teenager, he is a smart, cheerful, funny, considerate, and very easygoing person. I will always remember the fun time we had together, like going into the city, picnicking, playing volleyball, chatting late in the room, meeting new friends and etc...... And I definitely have to mention his cute parents who don't speak very good English, but are always making me feel at home and taking care of me. I love Mama's dish, and Papa's tea. I think Tabriz as a city doesn't have as much historical meaning to become a big travel destination, but it is definitely one of my favorite because of Mahdi and his family.

I stayed with Mohammad Tajaeian, aka father of couchsurfing Iran. I was going to stay with Mohammad for two days, but I ended up staying four days. It's just beyond words how fantastic the experience was. He greeted me in front of his door and invited me to his cozy house, offered me some tea, and even turned on a Chinese speaking program to make me feel at home. The next two days we went to all the historical places in town, and he is so familiar with the places that he knows where to take good pictures and it's just like his own house. For the fourth day, he reserved a taxi for me and a fellow couchsurfer. He is such a nice host!

Interests

I like to hang out with friends, and love to meet all kinds of people.
I used to play the basketball and baseball, but not so often now. I like swimming and I go jogging from time to time, and I'm learning drum now.
I watch American and Japanese drama, movies.
And also I like learning languages and getting to know other cultures.
I have started photography last year, and I hope to master it in the future.
Last but not least, traveling is my favorite.
