I've been traveling around the United States for the last 12 years, working in hospitality, farming, and wine making gigs. I'm new to the couch surfing app specifically, but I've had many instances of the same type through craigslist and facebook, and made friends that I still keep up with today.
A big part of my life and what initially sparked my travels was snow skiing. I've had the pleasure of living and skiing in some of the most fantastic ski towns in the Rockies. An injury in 2021 put a damper on that lifestyle, but the events that followed led me to realize a long time dream of international travel.

I find great joy and meaning in pushing past any "comfort zone" in life. I firmly believe no growth happens when you're comfortable. Sure, you could sit on the couch your entire life and be safe and sound and have a dreadfully boring existence, or you could go take some calculated risks, have amazing experiences, feel the ups and downs and pains and pleasures, and intentionally live life instead of letting it pass you by!

To experience the cultures of the world in their own unique ways, whether different or similar to my own. To continue to share smiles and stories and create memories with strangers who turn into lifelong friends, as I have done for the last 10 years and hope to carry on for many more!
