Recently retired after 28 yrs as a Culinary Manager at a large corporation. Enjoy camping (tent, rv or cabin), light hiking, live theater, cultural events, concerts, museums, botanical gardens, local festivals, visiting wineries, distilleries & breweries, long car rides to nowhere on a sunny afternoon, finding little hole-in-the-wall places that just so happen to offer the best food and drinks in the area, stumbling upon some random local attraction(s) by accident and having it be one of the most amazing parts of the day/week/month/year/life you've experienced so far.

I have a very eclectic and kind of random selection of music genres I enjoy...I like pretty much everything from Dolly Parton to Metallica, Broadway showtunes to the Rippingtons, and Enya to Eminem.

Growing up in the 70s & 80s; I'm particularly fond of "the classics" - Star Wars (the OG! aka Episode IV, A New Hope), Close Encoubters of the Third Kind, Cocoon, E.T., Tootsie, An Officer & a Gentleman, Mannequin, Working Girl, Goonies, Breakfast Club, St Elmo's Fire, Pretty Woman, 9 to 5 and i could go on and on and on. However, there are several movies that can quote practically word for word: Steel Magnolias ("Like two pigs fightin under a blanket", "Ya ain't got nothing nice to say...come sit here next to me!", "Hit This!!- M'Lynn, you just missed the chance of a lifetime! Half o' Chiquapin Parish'd give their eye teeth to take a whack at Ouiser!"), The Color Purple (the original with Whoopi & Oprah!)("Look, I'z marri'd nah", "I know'd dey is a gawd", "Cellllie...Nettttie") and Fried Green Tomatoes ("Face it girls, I'm older and ive gor more insurance", "Tah-wanda!!", "Izzy Threadgood, you ain't nothin but a bee chahmeh!") are a few of my absolute favorites!

Favorite authors include - Anne Rice, Stephen King, James Rollins, Stephen Barry, Margaret Weiss & Terry Hickman (I had to take a break after book 80 - iykyk - lol) and more recently Brandon Sanderson.
