Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to this. Exploring couch surfing looks to be a great option for long distance bike trips.
I can afford a hotel, but I would rather meet interesting people and see the non-tourist sides of the places I visit.
I am looking forward to meeting new people, exploring new areas, and sampling the local flavors.

I grew up with country and classic rock. I enjoy listening and playing almost anything, but I'm not a big hip hop fan.
I love playing blues and the challenge of expressing emotion with just five notes.

Most of my reading is nonfiction. I do enjoy an occasional mystery, fantasy, or other adult fiction. I write, but only for my own enjoyment.
