After far too many years of planning I made the move from Sydney --> Amsterdam in late 2015 and started my own business. Now onto phase two - conquering Europe by way of spending as much time as possible travelling it over the next few years. Then later... onto the rest of the world!

Whilst travelling the overriding goal (for me) is to try it all! Hitch-hiking here, camping there, hiking here and canoeing there, catching up with existing friends and making new ones as I make my way around the globe.

My over-arching interest is human rights, equality and politics. I'm a lover of all things comedy, good food (but NOT a foodie), good (craft) beer and good music, alongside breakin' it down to the music I love!

Recently I've started bouldering and am making (sometimes not so) steady progress!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my core goals in life is to learn and that is my primary interest in Couchsurfing - to learn from a variety of perspectives in the places I visit. I'm not in a position to host surfers currently but am keen to do so when my situation changes; unfortunately the home-owner is not interested in doing so. It became very clear when I moved to Holland how much better it is to know (or get to know) someone locally, after a move or even just when travelling so I am trying to take that experience and use it when travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Everything with a broken beat (DNB, dub (NO step ;)), breaks, hip-hop), reggae, amongst other styles... basically anything I can boogie to! Otherwise, anything 'Deep....'! Oh and trip-hop.. wait, is that still being produced? :)
Movies: If it scores >50% on RT there is a very good chance I will be a fan! Plenty of doco's also!

Started a business in a language I don't (yet!) speak.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can fix your Wi-Fi issues... and if I can't it's because "... I left a critical USB adapter I need to fix it, back home... sorry" ;)... otherwise, I can fix your non-Wi-Fi (general computer) issues. As for learning.... anything you can teach me about the local culture, history and politics will be much appreciated. Also.. some interesting conversation and great music!
