About Me

Hi there,
Thanks for reading my profile!

I'm a 30-year-old Clinical Hypnotherapist who lives in Plymouth, England.

I adore learning new facts about new people and general knowledge. I currently read between 1-3 books a week ranging from Neuroscience, Psychology, Personal development, Health, Philosophy, Business, Autobiographies, General Therapy, Science and Spirituality. (As you can imagine i could talk about these subjects all day long - after all that's my job).

I believe this knowledge and application with clients has made me extremely open-minded (by open-minded I certainly don't mean gullible - I mean truly willing to change my opinion based on the evidence supporting it or lack of) and a generally positive, tranquil but ambitious person who is hungry for growing, contributing and finding pleasure in all.

I'm currently working remotely seeing clients online and attempting to travel simultaneously. As you can imagine, I'm excited but it's mildly terrifying at the same time!

I'm a huge film buff and I used to play acoustic guitar and sing professionally. I have a great sense of humour and used to do stand-up comedy.

I am also a big fan of superheroes and even have a few comics (i have no doubt you would have guessed by now I'm an utter geek).

All in all, I love to entertain as well as be entertained. I don't smoke and don't really drink. Of course, if you wish to have a drink I'll join you but it's unlikely that I will get drunk. I am respectful of others' properties and am therefore also very clean and tidy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I want to travel, meet awesome people and learn about new cultures. Much of my knowledge is predominantly through books and so it would be great to have some new experiences and adventures with like-minded individuals and learn more about the world and people first hand!

Interests

As you already know, I love reading, Films, Magic (I'm part of the magic circle) and my biggest passion is learning. I love to explore and be active so I regularly exercise.

I adore superhero films but my taste can vary so I thought i'd just write the top few for each category so you get a better idea.

Films: Wolf of Wall Street, Limitless, The Dark Knight (or anything directed by Christopher Nolan), Iron Man, Catch me if you can, Forrest Gump, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Thomas Crown Affair and The Watchmen (to name but a few)

Books: The Dark Fields (Original Novel that limitless was based on), The Alchemist, Think and Grow Rich, Watchmen (graphic novel), Superman Birthright (graphic novel) Losing my virginity by Richard Branson and many more...

Music: Coldplay, Newton Faulkner, John Butler Trio, The Killers, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, U2, and again lots more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a Buddhist temple for 2 years. That was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn a language and would thoroughly enjoy connecting with people and soaking up the culture. But help with a language would be incredible. I'd also love to get involved with partaking in any new hobbies and activities where new skills can be learned.

Being able to share such fascinating knowledge about human nature, neuroscience philosophy and how to help people make changes and achieve goals is always amazing.

Of course, if you'd like to learn some magic tricks you only have to ask :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

It would be brilliant if we share similar tastes, I have many funny stories and take interest in a huge amount of subjects and will always be willing to try new things. You'd have an enthusiastic guest willing to learn more about you and of course partake in your passions with you. I believe we'd have many funny stories to share.
