About Me
Long-time host, first time surfer.
As hosts you and I both know that couchsurfing is more than a place to sleep, it is about making friends and making sure everyone gets something out of the experience. I would love to get to know your story and the story of where you live (although if you prefer, I can find my own fun and simply share space).
Being over 2m tall I guarantee to provide you with at least one "wow, you are tall moment" or an "I keep forgetting how tall you are". Yes, the air really is cleaner up here, yes, the weather is different too. I can almost also guarantee to hit my head, don't worry it happens more than it should.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a way to escape the hostel crowd for a bit, get to know a city/town in a little more detail and, maybe, even make a friend. It is truly a fun experience when people share their stories from all different walks of life.
Some of my favourite experiences as a host and surfer have been from people with a COMPLETELY different background from my own.
Interests
Travel (cliché I know) is one of my favourite things to do. I am a passionate Wallabies support, Australian’s national rugby team, and if they are playing somewhere in the world you can be assured I will wake up to watch the match.
I am also a keen watch person, I love a good analogue watch. My favourite watch has an exposed element and I have been known to stare at it for a few minutes at a time enjoying the ticking.
And, of course FOOOOOOOD

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music I am pretty eclectic. Everything from 80's rock to modern light house. Chances are I will have never heard of the bands you like but they will be added to the playlist nonetheless. I am also a big fan of acoustic covers of modern pop songs.
When it comes to reading and movies, I like a good fantasy story. Hopefully that story involves a mythical magic that takes a lot of effort to master and the story is a coming of age story about our main character mastering their craft. Or everyone dies and there is a never ending list of characters (I am looking at you Game of Thrones!!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
25/12/2012, Iguazu falls Argentina side.
Christmas day began with a champagne breakfast, eggs, bacon, bacon, toast, sausages, bacon. It was a great start as we had both bacon and champagne.
We followed this up with a trip the famous Iguazu water fall region. An tiny area on the border of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil which includes well over 200 waterfalls. The day was so hot we decided to do the boat ride that takes you under the waterfall. Twice.
Next.
Level.
To close out the day we treated to 850gram Argentina salted steak cooked over a charcoal fire pit. And of course local red wine.
Could a day get any better???

Yea, not sure what this part of the profile is soooo I am going to skip it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As listed above, I am tall. That means there will be many moments of pleasure where I have hit my head or don't fit in the *insert things normal people have no issues with*.
I can also cook a few mean dishes. That being said, this requires a reasonably well resourced kitchen, pots, pans, etc. I can supply the food but the utensils are too heavy to carry with me.
