About Me
Thanks for checking my profile! I am a 1.5 gen Korean immigrant to Canada, the land of endless natural wonders. I am a current UBC student majoring in International Relations and minoring in Asian Studies. I have a strong desire for travelling and speaking to people from different corners of the world, and I hope to have a career that utilizes both passions. Whether you want to talk to me about politics (U.S., China, North and South Korea, Canada, Middle East) or learn a couple of words in Korean and English, feel free to ask anytime!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a strong believer of the power of sharing. Couchsurfing is an amazing platform where I can meet new people, experience new activities, and cherish long lasting memories.
Currently I am finishing up my International Relations major at the University of British Columbia and hoping to make a peaceful impact on the unstable Korean peninsula. I will be traveling in Europe until July 2 and I am heading back to Canada for another adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books
Electronic Music (TRANCE but also my fair share of trap), Hip Hop (from legends like NWA and Wu Tang to modern virtuosos like Kendrick and JCole).
Movies: Pretty much every genre, but a huge Star Wars and LOTR geek.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
By winning a sales contest at my workplace, I was able to get an airplane ticket to Italy for free, and I backpacked for two weeks along the peninsula. After the exhausting trip (where I had my wallet pickpocketed as well), I wrote two 2 hours midterms back to back the day I arrived back home and did not fail. (might not sound substantial, but I believe it was a miracle after not looking at my textbook for 2 weeks and drinking wine consecutively in every major Italian city).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Korean, English, and even swimming as I am a certified Lifeguard back in Canada.
I'll also share some vocals if you have a guitar as I have been trained in choral for over 10 years!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a helping hand to a labour work, help you with your computer, and also help you stay safe while sharing a couple beers.
