ABOUT ME

I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my wife, Alison, and I'm a freelance web developer. I work most days at cafes around Columbus (or Cleveland near our families).

Friends say I'm laid back, often smiling, and interested in the world around me. I'm somewhat introverted and reserved, especially when first meeting people, but I thoroughly enjoy being around people.

I like to encourage other people to use their talents and be who they are.

Interests

I like biking, photography, cooking healthy, living sustainably, eating local food, playing any sport involving a ball or wheels, eating my vegetables, and thinking about what it was like in the old days. Also: railroad tracks, mountaintops, orchards, highway rest stops, balconies, oceans, old libraries, outdoor concerts, and places with sidewalk vendors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a two-month road trip without staying in hotels, mainly to Ithaca, Boston, Burlington, and New York City, with some side trips north and south, and adventures into the past or future. And I got to march with Occupy Wall Street.
