HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am in the midst of a great adventure. (As of summer 2012) Traveling our great country. This must be done cheaply however since I am still looking for a full time elementary education position.

Interests

I enjoy working with children. I am a certified elementary school teacher and it still pleases me to see a child's face light up with a smile or understanding as I teach. I am also an avid traveler but have to do this on a budget as I am still searching for a full time teaching position.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big science fiction fan (Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Robert Heinlein), I am also huge into Stephen King. Music I like classic rock (The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Who), also Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Sublime, and many others. Movies...I like nostalgic movies from my childhood (The Wizard, Flight of the Navigator), also action movies, horror, sci-fi...I have pretty eclectic tastes all around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In high school I traveled to Israel and spend a month there. The country is so vastly different north to south west to east that I was never bored in the slightest. I also went to teach in South Korea for a few months which was amazing due to the completely different culture.
