About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi! I have been filling out my profile at a pretty glacial pace, but I do intend to add more soon! (and have intended to add more soon for a year or so now)

I live around Boston and like meeting new people. I can probably host some folks at some point and have both surfed and hosted exactly one time.

I like to think I have figured out Boston a decent amount and would definitely grab a drink with you if you stayed with me, or at least try to point you in the right direction in your travels.

Interests

I like learning new things and figuring out how things work! I have been trying to learn Spanish the past few years with some success. I have also realized that the reason I like exploring cities (I grew up in rural Vermont) is because there is so much to wonder about!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So these are all very natural outdoorsy things to have on my list. In reality, despite growing up in rural VT, I really enjoy living in and exploring cities, so I should find an experience there to put on this list. Probably my habitat for humanity spring break trip to New Orleans would be way up on the list!

- Bicycle tour down the U.S. east coast! Boston to Myrtle Beach. Not only that, but a few years later, I hosted a guy who was riding his bike around the world. Talk about some amazing stories.

- White Water Rafting on the Penobscot River in Maine. Awesome day to (mostly) float down the river with sweet views of Mt. Katahdin and a bald eagle flyover. Great group of friends and even though the water was cold! I took a couple dips in.

- *Having exactly the right strategy to maximize my days skiing at Mont Tremblant in Canada. Amazing views from the top on a nice day and just a seriously sweet place to go.

- Hiking in the woods in Cahuita National Park in Costa Rica. I'm not sure why this was so much fun but I think the threatening clouds and light rain along with supposed danger from snakes (at the guidebooks say so), the howler monkeys and the fact that I was alone with few others in the park played a role.

* I have never skied in Europe or in the western part of the U.S. of A.
