About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Researching minority languages in Southwest China
ABOUT ME
I'm currently on a US Fulbright Scholarship in China, researching and documenting minority languages in Yunnan. I'm generally just enjoying my time, traveling, working on research, writing, and doing photography.
I write a travel blog to keep my friends and family updated on my life, and I also write a food blog about the food I encounter on my trips.
I'll be returning to the US in September 2010 to find a job and apply to grad schools.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I currently have two free bedrooms and several futon-like couches in my apartment here in Kunming, China. I'm willing to host couchsurfers, and will probably eventually be looking for couches during my travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I explored the Badan Jilin (Badain Jaran) Desert in western Inner Mongolia, with the highest stationary sand dunes in the world and countless lakes strewn throughout. It was truly one of the most amazing and breathtaking places I've ever been.
