Overview
About Me
I'm a biologist who just wrapped up a year in Brasilia with CSF. I love to get out and experience the world, its culture, and its nature. Of course, I'm not opposed to meeting fun strangers or having a few drinks either! In an ideal day I learn something new, teach someone something they didn't know before, and try something for the first time. If I can somehow improve the world around me along the way, bonus points!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Previously I've surfed my way through parts of the U.S., Australia, Europe, and South America. Its a brilliant way to experience places through the eyes of a local and escape the tourist circuit for a bit.

Music, Movies, and Books
Was it produced by David Attenborough? Does it star Neil Patrick Harris? Did it originally air on Showtime? Then I like it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In one week in New Zealand, I went skydiving, bungy jumping, cliff diving, abseiling, spelunking, hang gliding, swam with fur seals, flew my own airplane, and went streaking. Good times.
Teach, Learn, Share
Science. Ask me anything about science and the world around us. I've run first-year lectures and labs at university, so I'm very good at making the complex comprehensible.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A wealth of stories, and I can teach anything science-related they've ever wanted to know.
