My name is Scott Gillies I'm a 26 year old adventurer. I have been living in a eco villages for the last 8 months of my life and and feel that I'm going threw a real spiritual change in my life right now. I feel like my consciousness has completely opened up and I practise mindfulness on a regular basis which has offered me a real synchronicity in my life and brought me to my latest adventure and journey.

I'm currently cycling to Portugal visiting France, Belgium, Netherlands. Germany, Luxembourg, back into France, Spain and then finally Portugal. With the hopes of visiting as many eco villages, self sustainable sites, communal living and charity based projects with the goal of showcasing that you don't need loads of money to love and live your life and to raise awareness and support for the aspergers syndrome foundation. A charity I hold dear to me. Im looking to show to the masses that offering kindness, help and positive energy to the world will give you back ten times the amount in return.

I'm very chatty have loads of cool story's about my previous adventures and work life (I've changed my career path a few times) and have had a lot of experiences to share with any potential hosts. I'm not really looking for a bed although wouldn't say no if it was offered as I have my camping equipment. I'm more looking for maybe a hot meal, a plug socket to charge my devices, a shower and most importantly warm and friendly company who would like to be apart of my trip.

I have the dream of when reaching Portugal to then cycle to every country In europe and then if my legs are still attached the world!

I'm very polite and really don't want to be a bother to anyone so if there is any chores I can do whilst visiting you lovely people I'm more then happy to help. I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing I have many skills to offer that maybe able to help somebody in return for a bit of company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simply to meet as many kind and wonderful people on my journey who can keep me company with story's and kindness as tent life can get lonely and I'm doing this trip unaided and alone. Also a bit of electricity to charge my camera and phone etc. Maybe a warm meal and a hot shower. Hey ill take a cold shower if its going. Haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one??? I was a radio dj for Newport city radio, I was in the Mr wales modelling final, I worked as a voice over man , built a school in Pakistan, mc host in Ayia Napa, Ibiza, Magaluf. Lived in a eco village and grew my own food and created my own energy. I have over come the disability's and problems associated with aspergers to the point people don't relies.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what to write in here?? I love to offer my life experiences and what I have learnt to people without forcing my ideology down peoples throat. Ie take what you like leave what you don't. I have alot of experience In a lot of fields and can teach people methods to achieve there goals and not to fear the world but to embrace it.

I love, love, love to learn new things im a fountain of knowledge I don't know why but I just seem to take so much information in and I find the more we learn the more we can develop as a person. I've always found learning things by experiencing them much better then the class room sense of repeat and remember. Maybe its cause I challenge everything and ask well why is that the case and how can that be.

I can share everything and anything I have. My material objects are yours if you need them. I say need because there is a big difference between need and want. I can share my experiences and knowledge of life which surprisingly is quite alot for a 26 year old I have been called an old soul with some of my wisdoms. It makes me laugh because I feel the least wise person out there hence this journey of self discovery. I feel like how can you know anything if you don't know yourself yet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter and giggles, smiles, handy man skills, ask me and if I can genuinely do it i will. Making people happy and feel good is the most important thing in my life! Because when you give that positivity it is repaid 100 times greater not necessarily by the person you are helping and sharing with at the time but in the long run the universe has a way of repaying that goodness when you most need it. I'm like a cat. When I say like a cat I don't eating sleeping and licking my bits haha I mean I always land on my feet and draw good people to me.
