About Me

ABOUT ME

Movement has occupied a growing space in my life as well as the memories made along the way. These experiences have inspired me to seek an alternative way of life.

Previously I spent over three and a half years living in Vancouver, where I enjoyed my time living amongst the great outdoors. This time in my life represented a great sense of freedom, travelling when ever possible around the province of British Columbia or afar. Some of my highlights included snowboarding in the local mountains, the music of Seattle and my time in Montreal. However at present I have returned to the UK where I developing my creative skills as a freelance artist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed, hosted and met with other couchsurfers over the past few years

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couchsurfing when I first moved to Vancouver, it was a great to get acquainted with a new city and home. Travelling to Canada for the first time couchsurfing helped me to make friends, gain local knowledge, to explore the city and the neighbourhood surrounds.

Interests

I have a number of interest’s, particularly involving making things from Fine Art to printmaking, photography and designing. I enjoy putting ideas into production. I guess travelling is more of a passion, I have loved living over seas experiencing different cultures and diversity.

Other interest include - microbreweries and cider making, maps, lists, charts and things like that. Documentaries and information, the mountains and sea, snowboarding and surfing, deserts and jungles. People and communities, their stories and their music. Socialist thinking and ideas, cooperatives, farming and distribution, a more considerate approach, Latin America. Cooking and culture, cooking with wood, (smoking) alternative methods (not cooking with gas), cooking to entertain and bird watching
