About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To boldy Go where I've never gone before...there are so many places to see!

ABOUT ME

Years ago, I did a three-year backpacking tour around the world. Worked loading trucks in Germany, as a reporter in Hong Kong and teaching English in Thailand; Then got my uni degree and began teaching English--including several years in Dubai! I'm also a writer that has had one book published and I'm always looking for stories and interesting people. I taught in Dubai for 11 years, then did a year-long backpacking trip through Europe/Asia, and then returned to the United Arab Emirates for another couple years.

PHILOSOPHY

people's experiences. Never judge. Just listen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Traveling (duh!) scuba diving, writing, hiking (love mountains!), reading, chatting with interesting people, playing cards with an international group as we did weekly in Dubai

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling with sharks in the Indian Ocean, Trekking in the Himalayas, window-shopping in Dubai's malls, taking the trans-Canada train, hiking in the Rockies, living in Germany, Hong Kong, Russia, Thailand. IT's not that there has been ONE amazing experience. There have been hundreds.
