ABOUT ME

Years ago, I did a three-year backpacking tour around the world. Worked loading trucks in Germany, as a reporter in Hong Kong and teaching English in Thailand; Then got my uni degree and began teaching English--including several years in Dubai! I'm also a writer that has had one book published and I'm always looking for stories and interesting people. I taught in Dubai for 11 years, then did a year-long backpacking trip through Europe/Asia, and then returned to the United Arab Emirates for another couple years.

Am currently using CS to meet people, perhaps borrow a couch for the night, or at least to share a cup of Latte.

2001: A Space Odyssey, Casablanca, Jaws, TONS of old movies, The Hours, Schindler's List, Les Miserables, Star Trek, AND BOOKS? Way too many but what comes to mind: Prince of Tides, Pillars of the Earth (about the building of a 12th century English Cathedral, great novel) and gee...too many

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling with sharks in the Indian Ocean, Trekking in the Himalayas, window-shopping in Dubai's malls, taking the trans-Canada train, hiking in the Rockies, living in Germany, Hong Kong, Russia, Thailand. IT's not that there has been ONE amazing experience. There have been hundreds.
