About Me

ABOUT ME
I would consider myself a likable person. I try to help people whenever I can. I enjoy being able to joke around. I have thick skin but can understand if you don't. I want to meet as many people as I can and spread as much happiness as I can to everyone. I want to share my experiences as well as learn about different cultures and backgrounds of fellow surfers. I'm an excellent listener.

PHILOSOPHY
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Be patient with those who try to help.
Traveling brings out the best in me and in all of us. The more I experience the more I see the more I'm sure of who I am. I want to discover new things, meet new people, and share some of my knowledge as well as learn some of theirs.

Sometimes you gotta get away.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard of Couchsurfing probably 5 years ago. Honestly, at first, I just thought it was a cool idea. Before I signed up I was about to finish high school and I was ready to see the world. After being a guest several times I realized there was so much more than just traveling to be had. Each city, house, and host were all different but you can still feel the sense of community. Everyone helps and has their own stories and skills to share. I've had a lot of success in San Antonio and some success in Denver.

Interests

Some of my interest are hiking, rock climbing, running and being outdoors. I also enjoy photography, reading, films, and music.

Music, Movies, and Books

This list could go on and on.

Music by genre: alternative, classical, blues, rock, ska, punk, hip-hop/rap, indie, post garage punk revival, instrumental, grunge, electronic, reggae, and soul just to name a few.

Movies by Director: Quentin Tarintino, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorcese, Francis Copolla, Wood Allen, Stanely Kubrick, and Peter Jackson and Mel Gibson and that's what I can remember. Comedies of course.

Books by Author: Stephen King, Mark Twain, Ray Bradbury, J.R.R Tolkien, Harper Lee, Dr. Suess, John Steinbeck, Albert Camus, Charles Dickens, and Ernest Hemingway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This may not seem amazing to some but my freshman year in College I was in remedial math. I had to take 3 remedial class before I could even reach the college level mathematics. My counselors urged me to go a different route but I didn't listen and now, 7 classes later, I've finished Calculus 1,2, and 3.

Teach, Learn, Share

I had a really rough beginning of my life. My childhood wasn't easy. The most important thing to remember is that I survived, it's in the past, and I'm here now. The best part about it is I became stronger and better person because of it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Math tips? No, really I can share some of my favorite meals from St. Louis. Laughter and I've been told I can tell a good story. I also work for Amtek Plumbing and Heating part time. I'm actually one hell of a handyman. I can fix just about anything.
