Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seeing the world, wrangling cats, making friends, living peacefully, spinning fire, making art
ABOUT ME
Our largest and closest community is the Boston Fire community and we are part of a great group there - currently based in Rockford, IL (Chicago area) and working our way through saving the world (Scott via green energy) and growing as an artist and painter (Paula) while finding ways and reasons to travel abroad as much as possible. Hoping to get back to Boston soon - always glad to meet new people and can teach you fire spinning if you want.
We are a low-drama married couple, no kids, nonsmokers, light drinkers and drug free. We are very open-minded and avoid jumping to conclusions or making assumptions.
PHILOSOPHY
The most important priority is people. The most important ethic is to be kind. We all do better when we all do better. You can choose to act out of love or fear, and things seem to flow better when we act out of the motivation of adding more love to the world. We are here to enjoy life and help each other. Our political philosophy is that everybody should get to eat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Teaching and learning fire arts, mentoring young artists, being part of our Boston community, trying to be good ambassadors for our country any time we travel, always available to ponder life and keep company.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We are new to couchsurfing! Started a profile back when we traveled in 2010 and met some great fire people in Italy because of it, but have not been active till now; hoping to change that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting the Temple of the Reclining Buddha in Bangkok was pretty amazing. We did that last year. The temple itself was unique in our experience and nothing could have prepared us for the splendor of the main temple and the huge Reclining Buddha itself.
