ABOUT ME

I'm Australian/British, I've travelled back and forth between my two native countries ever since I can remember, but now I'm striking out on my own to see how much I can learn from people and experiences around the world :). I want to see how well I survive travelling on a bear-minimum budget, surviving through work exchange, couch surfing and perhaps even finding some paid work along the way to further prolong my adventure! So I'd love to get some advice from experienced travellers and colourful local personalities :) as well as maybe some crash courses in the native language! In my experience I've found it's hard to make solid plans when you're trying to go with the flow, so I'm going in the direction that life takes me! Generally I'm going to try and stay in Europe though.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess overall my philosophy is that life isn't serious, we're all just playing a big game, we might as well make it a fun one!

I'm interested in illustration, music (although I'm not really a musician!) Self sufficiency and minimalist living, the great outdoors, Cooking good food, eating good food and drinking good drinks! I love exploring the unknown, finding out what makes people tick, seeing how other people have fun and joining in!

No Country for Old Men, Léon, The Big Lebowsky, There will be Blood, Blade Runner to name a few films, I'm bad at name dropping, I never remember my favourites! anything with seriously good acting or cinematography basically.

I listen to a lot of electronic music nowadays, anything between Aphex Twin to Boards of Canada, Ratatat to Daft Punk. I used to be really into metal too. I listen to everything though, except rap, I'm not hateful of it, I'm just not a fan.

Books I have read little (I'm a slow reader) I have a slowly growing list of books that I really need to get through! George Orwell, H.P Lovecraft (favourite), Song of Ice and Fire, Brave New World.. And a few others.

I've sat on a tiny lost desert island on the great barrier reef, with no other land to see in any direction, just looking out onto the Pacific ocean, with nothing but water between me and America.

I can help with drawing skills, meditation and philosophy I enjoy discussing, I know a few easy tunes on the piano and guitar, cooking, practical gardening and self sufficiency in general, I'm handy with computers and I've got a pretty great cure for hiccups!
