About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To backpack South and Central America solo for 6 months.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 22yr old University of Calgary student from Canada currently residing in the city of Calgary. In addition to English, I can also speak French at a working level. I am an aspiring sailor and desire to circumnavigate the world one day while skippering my own boat.

PHILOSOPHY

I draw my energy from the environment and people around me. In addition, I think it's important to treat others with respect and sincerity. I like easy-going people and environments that encourage social interaction. As a traveler and student, I value introspection and personal development. I am a firm believer that short, intense moments between like-minded people can create life-long friendships that can quickly rekindle even after being separated for so long.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the Summer of 2014, I backpacked Europe alone for a month and a half on 25 euros a day and one backpack weighing 10 pounds. In addition, I have been to the US, Cuba, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

I've been privileged enough to get very involved in the field of student leadership/engagement on my university campus and have done things that have changed me as a person forever.

I've worked with various offices at the University of Calgary in a professional capacity and with the Government of Canada's Department of Indigenous Affairs and Northern Development. I currently possess a Government of Canada Security Clearance.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life begins when your comfort zone is behind you! I'm looking for fellow travelers who want to seize opportunities to do crazy things that you will remember with a smile.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel knowledge from the countries I have already been too as well as the world-renowned Canadian kindness! In addition, I can make some good cocktails and teach French.

I regularly cook as a hobby and would like to say that I can make a pretty mean meal. My sense of adventure is something I hope I can share with whoever is my host. I like to pull people into adventures and be pulled into adventures that will leave a positive lasting memory!
