About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to travel the world and meet as many people as possible. I want to visit all 7 continents and see as many countries as possible within each continent. I hope to do this because I want to grow as a person and learn from other cultures.

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona in the United States. I attended college at Arizona State University where I discovered one of my life long passions, Psychology. I had always been interested in human behavior but when I took a few psychology courses and saw the science behind it, I knew that was the field that I wanted to work in. My love for travel is related to my love for psychology. I want to see the world and the different cultures that influence people to be the way that thy are. One thing I've learned through my travels is that there are many different cultures but people are very similar despite where and how they grew up. We all laugh and cry, we all share basic human emotions. There are kind and unkind people everywhere, but in my personal experiences, people are generally kind. If you treat people with kindness and respect, you tend to get that back. I don't claim to be an expert on people but I strive to understand all people. I believe in being open minded and I don't judge people for the way that they are. I might not agree with everyone and I know that not everyone will agree with me, but we all have to live on this earth together, so we should at least be civil to each other. We must be tolerant of each other and our differences and learn to embrace each other for these things. It would be such a boring world if we all thought and acted the same way. I celebrate diversity and want to get to know and appreciate all types of people.

PHILOSOPHY

One Love...is the best way I can sum up my personal philosophy. We are all humans and in that we are the same (of course we are different in many ways but we all have the same basic human emotions and rights). I don't believe in judging people, that is not my place. I strive to be open minded and tolerant. I live life to experience many different things...I want to see and feel everything. Life is beautiful but all too short. I want to make the most out of mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been to a couple of couch surfing meetings in the past. My girlfriend introduced me to couch surfing and took me to the meetings. Everybody was so friendly and I really enjoyed the vibe. She was contacted by a guy from Turkey that was coming to Budapest and wanted some people to hang out with. He is now a friend of ours and I really enjoyed the experience. I am new to couch surfing, so I don't have much to say here yet. I plan to surf, host, and just hang out with people as I start to participate. I am excited to get started.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CouchSurfing experience is very limited right now as I have just recently joined. My girlfriend has exposed me to this community and we have meet a few people that had contacted her while we have been living in Budapest. So far all the experiences have been positive. We've gone to a few meetings and also hung out with a few people that had contacted her Recently we surfed with a guy from Croatia. I can safely say that he is now a good friend of mine. He was so kind and I hope to repay the favor sometime.

Interests

As you might have read, I am interested in traveling, meeting new people, and psychology. Among other things, I like to listen to music (mostly reggae and electronic music lately), exercise, play golf and basketball, and just live life to the fullest.

Music, Movies, and Books

Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond, Andy Moor, Gareth Emery, Benny Benassi, Deadmau5, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, Third World, Morgan Heritage, Steele Pulse, Gregory Isaacs...I like all types of movies, too many to list. It's hard to put down my favorites because I can't pick them. I like too many equally.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done is work for the research project...To try to make life better for future generations.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to teach people to enjoy life and each others company. To find the beauty in the smallest things, whether they are negative or positive. I would like to learn about other people's life philosophies and hopefully I can become a better person by being exposed to other ways of thinking or viewpoints. I would like to share peace, love and fun with anyone who is willing.
