About Me

CURRENT MISSION

making a home in Tassie

ABOUT ME

It's time to stop moving for a while, as soon as we get a place to live! Tasmania, here we are. Please stop burning.

PHILOSOPHY

Not to take more than I need from the world, and to give what I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By drawing maps and making dinner for strangers!
By sleeping on the floors and couches of kind-hearted people... by talking to vagabonds and no-good tramps!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Both Joey and I have done heaps of random "unofficial" couchsurfing.
We have hosted several people as well as stayed with a few generous folk too.

Interests

DIY, music, bikes, gardening, greywater recycling, vegan cooking, alleyways and street art, traditional folk music, crafts, drawing, woodworking...

Music, Movies, and Books

Happy songs, sad songs, punk rock, gypsy, folk... improv, noise, experimental, booty trash, queercore, almost anything

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

recently... snorkelling in the Semporna Archipelago, in Sabah, Malaysia! A miracle world, and also the visual evidence of how nasty dynamite fishing is...

Teach, Learn, Share

Scoutt has been a junk percussion, body percussion, beatbox, costume, float building, puppetry workshop teacher for a few years, helped supervise a permaculture garden, ran the volunteer section of an environmental NGO in my hometown... recently in Scotland Scoutt was helping to run the Cafe of a volunteer-run arts space called The Forest - in Edinburgh.
Joey is an ecologist and woodworker/instrument maker, who plays heaps of different instruments and knows lots of cool stuff, from DIY tattoos to the latin names of weird insects.
Both of us love bikes, and mountains, and snorkelling...
