ABOUT ME

Born and raised on the westcoast. I have a passion for the outdoors and a love of learning. I am happiest when chilling out and conversing about this or that over a good meal, a cup of tea, or a cold beer. Also love getting a good natural high at the mountain or in the sea :)

I love bike touring! In 2009, I cycled the Pacific Coast with my sister, in 2010, I biked across Canada (bikebikemegs.blogspot.com) and this autumn (2012) I'll cycling down the Sierra Cascades with my boyfriend. I look forward to the adventure - it's going to be great! Our blog is at velotramps.ca

I've just finished up my degree in archaeology and anthropology, but want to travel and experience a bit more of the world before I settle down with a permanent job. I'm pretty into snowboarding, kayaking, biking, hiking, diving, and want to do a bit more surfing in the future

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy every day. Whether it be spending 8 hours underground working in the lab at school or lazing around on the sofa a good book, I just try to make it something worth doing

By making friends wherever I go! When I'm at home and not on the road, I welcome visitors and couchsurfers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Each couchsurfing experience I've had has been unique and incredible! I've been blown away be people's hospitality and open-hearted warmth. Although I'm not stoked about going home to Surrey this winter, I do look forward to making the transition from couchsurfer to coushsurfing host and helping make other travellers experiences as awesome as other couchsurfing hosts have made mine :)

I'm a pretty big fan of the star wars and indiana jones trilogies, also a lover of feel good flicks and success stories.

I would be happy to take you out and show you some of the local archaeological sites, perhaps encouraging an understanding of the deep time-scale and cultural wealth of First Nations People on the West Coast of BC. My family would is also pretty into yoga, kayaking, and gardening and would be glad to spend some time doing those activities
