ABOUT ME

I am currently living in Cairo with my partner Jason. We came to Cairo in August when I was offered a teaching job. I work with a bunch of crazy six year olds, which can be exhausting (and sometimes a little frustrating) but I love it. I've spent most of my life in Canada but have gotten out a few times to travel around Europe and South East Asia. I love meeting new people and trying new fun things!

We're both pretty relaxed people and enjoy having a drink, but aren't crazy party people (though I love dancing!). Most of the time me and Jay play around with instruments and explore corners of this big dirty city we currently find ourselves in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We're new to couchsurfing but we have a lot of friends that do it and speak very highly of it. We've also been to a few couchsurfing events (i.e. coffee time, games nights etc.) which have been really fun.

Interests

I like discovering new music, hiking, sitting in parks reading, dancing, games, playing the ukulele and harmonica, talking about science etc.

Jason enjoys skateboarding, riding motorcycles, playing guitar, talking about politics and sitting by the campfire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sarah: Stumbled upon a stick bug that was about the size of my arm while touring Ankor Wat. Sooo cool!

Jason: Sleeping under the stars and watching the moon creep over the Sahara dunes was pretty sweet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm okay at textile crafts (i.e. sewing, knitting, crochet)and can help anyone who's learning.

Jason skateboards and would be more than happy to meet some people who could do that with him.
