Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love to travel, I love to meet new people, and Couchsurfing is the perfect marriage of these two things I enjoy.

More specifically, I plan to make a few road trips over the summer, and a good friend of mine says this is the way to go.

Also, as a Central Virginia native, while I may not be able to offer a place to stay at the moment, I make one hell of a tour guide, so feel free to hit me up if you're ever in the area.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a film critic and journalist by trade, and hope to tack "writer" onto my resume someday, so I've got wide tastes, experience and opinions about movies and books, and am more than happy to share them or discuss your own.

Musically, I'll listen to most anything, with a preference for classic rock, old school rap or European melodic metal, but can't so much as sing a note.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Auschwitz alongside a Holocaust survivor, and the trip was a transformative experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I may not be swimming in cash, but I have hands and feet, and as a former soldier, know how to clean, work and follow orders. I am willing to put a little work in for a place to lay my head. Just don't ask me to sing for my supper, for your sake as much as my own.
