Overview
About Me
I am Stephen. Pronounced Steffen. It is German or something. I don't know.
I graduated from Harvard in 2012 with a degree in Social Sciences. How does that translate into Real Estate? It doesn't. I work hard though.
I am no stranger to travel. I grew up in a military family, having moved to a new country every few years. After Dad retired, that habit stopped. But the feeling has been with me ever since.
Current missions:
- To do a minimum of one small good deed a day for someone.
- To do a bunch of different things. I am not afraid of death. I am afraid of not living fully.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To share experiences, to learn, to teach like-minded travelers something.
I have the means to pay for a fancy schmancy hotel or sleep outside. I am comfortable, geared up and resourceful enough. But I would rather have someone's company, especially someone like-minded like you.
Interests
Environmentalism, professional improv performer, testing my own limits, speedreading, cooking (anything including vegan/vegetarian options), swimming, teaching, hiking, yoga, meditation, wing chun, solo travel, philosophy, copywriting, real estate. Simplicity.

Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: my day job is as a real estate agent. I could do a hazard inspection of your home.
I have been performing improv for since 2013. Professionally for since 2014. We could play a bunch of improv games. Or how to Dumpster dive, speedread or basic wing chun. I am a certified ESL teacher as well as a Virtual teacher. Board games like Trivial pursuit. Meditation. Or how to Google a subject we both don't know and learn it together.
Learn: I am open to learning anything. Something different and unique. Life has so much to teach.
Share: I typically have cookware enough for two to three people. Anything extra I have on me, I will share with you. That includes stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook (vegan/vegetarian options), share stories, music tastes, actively listen, teach you something (refer to list above), clean, help with your garden, your pets.
Anything I can do to repay back your generosity.
