About Me

I took my first international trip has a high schooler and loved interacting with people of other cultures. That was a defining moment in my life, and I've enjoyed many travels since. That said, now I'm a newly-wed (and newly-unemployed) Christian loving life in Denver, Colorado. Love, love, love seeing the mountains outside my window everyday!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While hotels and hostels are fine, the best trips I've had are the ones where I've lived with locals. I had my first actual couchsurfing experience in 2015 in New Orleans, and it enriched our trip so much. Who knows when I'll be a guest again next, but I can certainly "give back" to others in the meantime.

Interests

Traveling, reading, hiking, volunteering, garage saling, bargain shopping (yes, I even climbed into a dumpster a couple of weeks ago...), skiing, anything outdoors, exploring the meaning of life together with other people

Music, Movies, and Books

Shows: Downton Abby, Scorpion, Top Chef

Books: Anything by Brent Weeks or Francine Rivers

Theatre: My husband and I saw Once in the theater and were SOOOO impressed by it. We'll see it every time it comes to town. Wicked was pretty awesome too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Starting up an orphanage school in Liberia, West Africa for a year ranks at the top of the list.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like having spiritual conversation, but I also LOVE organizing. Need help organizing your closet or kitchen? I can help!! If that's too intimidating, I can help you with your Spanish.

If you have an extra bass guitar lying around, you could have a jam session with my husband. If you're curious to know what's appealing about cars racing around in a circle, talk to him!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Tunisia, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Liberia, Spain, United States
