About Me

CURRENT MISSION

No mission. Just living.

ABOUT ME

I am a humanist. I am a laid back person. Don't worry about too much. I love doing anything outdoors from running, swimming, camping, hiking, tennis ... but also like to balance it out with things like movies and a pub here and there. I have found that I have gotten pretty good at staying away from my home while still accomplishing some work so I think more travelling is in my future, including meeting lots of CSers along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you love whenever you get the chance. When you can't do that, do something you've never done as it may be something you didn't know you loved :) Meet as many people as you can and help everyone in some way, not matter how little you think it is. There's no better feeling than helping others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a couple of times and also met up with other CSers while travelling. Would like to host once I have a home that people would like to stay in as I enjoy showing people around as well as finding new things I didn't know existed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few couches and given a few couches and every experience has been excellent!

Interests

I love the outdoors. Running, hiking, climbing... I like to mix in culture along with that once in a while. I also enjoy playing music (guitar, piano, drums) poorly, climbing anything that I can, experimenting with health concoctions, and getting lost (which is my favorite pastime).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Comedies of any kind
Music: Mostly a rock fan, but enjoy all kinds
Books: Don't get around to many of these lately

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think of things being amazing when they significantly alter the way you view life:

Being in Cairo during the Egyptian Revolution.

Honorable mentions:
Hiking in Nepal.
Burning Man!
100 mile trail running race.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some things about health (nutritional and general) and exercise, hiking, running, camping and how to live simply. I play some guitar and piano and drums, although most people would not like to hear it :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't know how to answer this except by saying I can offer myself. I am happy to do anything for my hosts, but I think just sharing the experience in an organic way is the best part of couchsurfing.
