I'm a huge food nut! I got sick of grad school and took off for China to teach English. I just finished a year teaching in Haerbin.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined awhile back but then ended up without a couch and not travelling, but I'm on the road again and hope to be a surfer in Asia and hoster when I get back on my feet in the States.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never been couch surfing. Just heard about it, but I'm a broke student and I'm trying to plan a trip for next year. Couch surfing could definitely make it more fun!

I loved "On Beauty" by Zadie Smith, "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath, "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I'm into lots of music, Orishas, Decemberists, Jenny Lewis and the list goes on. My favorite movies are "Secretary" and "Harvey"

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The rice paddies in Batad, Philippines were indescribable. I was rendered speechless when I came over the saddle to see the valley below. Incredible.
