Used to travel here and there, but now I've been working the serious job for a few years already so there's not that much time for traveling anymore.
Also bought a house with my amazing wife Rania and spending a lot of time renovating the place!

When I meet someone who is interested in traveling, I always ask if they know about CS, and if not, I introduce them to it.

I surfed a few couches and hosted a few people as well. But not lately anymore though.

Interests

I love traveling because of the many different people from all kinds of different cultures I meet on my way. I am very open minded for new things and traveling fulfills this need to explore new horizons. It makes me feel alive, it makes me a happy person. =D

My other interests include photography, languages and cultures, music (I (try to) play saxophone), dancing, board games, walking, the beach, cooking, fine wine, beer, ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I especially like jazz, blues, latin music and rock, but I really like to listen to almost everything. I also play tenor saxophone (well, learning to play it at least).

Books: in theory I love reading, in reality I hardly ever feel like it. Guess I'm always too busy doing other things.

Movies: I love watching a good movie to unwind. Some of my favorite actors include Al Pacino and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Married my soul mate!
- Lived in Romania for six months which has given me the culture shock I always wanted to experience!
- My backpacking trip around Turkey made me fall in love with the country and the Turkish people
- Paragliding

Still on my to-do list:
- speak at least four languages fluently
- learn to surf (on a surfboard...)
- deep sea diving
- skydiving
- a road trip through all of Europe
- climb a mountain
- fly to the moon (and back)
- ...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some things in my native language (Flemish / Dutch) and English. I'm always interested in learning other languages. I maybe know a thing or two about music, photography, Belgian beers, fine wine, cooking, ...

I have never met anyone that couldn't teach me something. I think every person has something interesting to share and I would love to hear it! I will be happy to share my view on the world with you!

By the way... there is no such thing as "French fries", they are "French cut fries". The real fries are Belgian!!! :-P
