About Me
hi all! just riding the metaphorical surf as they say... i am a master's student in linguistics here in NYC, have lived here my whole life, started hating the train system at the ripe young age of 9 but i can point you anywhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
i've only used cs once successfully and it was through my friend's account, but our experience was incredible and our host took us on a literal underground tour of paris, something that absolutely never would have happened without this site. i want a novel experience with people who care more about sharing culture than making profit. i am armenian, and am finally going to armenia this summer so i can be a better representative of my culture. also, the pictures of couches

Music, Movies, and Books
my music taste lives and dies from the 60s to the mid-90s. i love twee, post-punk, dreampop, electronic things, hip hop, goth, lo-fi, 80s pop, etc etc.
my favorite authors are probably jorge borges and f. scott fitzgerald. trite, maybe.. but can't shake him. i love poetry and philosophy best.
i've seen maybe 10 movies so, pass on this one, but the sopranos is the greatest tv show of all time.
Teach, Learn, Share
happy to teach english, eager to master french. i also have a breadth of youtube music i can show you if you are for some reason interested in that
What I Can Share with Hosts
lots and lots of stories packed with dramatic gestures, forced interest in vegan food, and if you're into it, a nice long walk.
