Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a respectful guest and like spending time with my host. Currently unable to host myself as I live in a tiny ass flat. dont be fooled by the lack of references, i stayed with about 30 people throughout the years, some deactivated their account, others didnt write a reference, tis but a pity.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first time couchsurfing, oh dear.. Went to the location and found an old, wrecked house, dirty inside, curtains ripped, weird stains on the carpet, wallpaper hanging off walls. Was told to enter through an open window if nobody's home because they couldn't hand me the keys... left the place after two hours and stayed in an apartment with a super amazing host!
would not ever leave a place without talking to the host first again, but i was a baby 18 year old back then and couldnt deal with the confrontation. (btw, you can find that guys reference on my profile, it's worth a look).
ive had some good and some (really) bad experiences on couchsurfing, i like spending time with the locals but also like spending time on my own after a long day of roaming around the city, which some people dont seem to understand :/ always happy to chat, just need some alone time if I'm staying over for a while
