About Me

CURRENT MISSION

No idea, but when I've done it, I expect I'll know what it was!

ABOUT ME

I am 40% gin.

PHILOSOPHY

If you're nice to people, they'll probably be nice to you. Gin and tonic solves more of life's problems than you would expect. Optimism is better than reality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a more interesting way to travel. Also, now I am travelling with my son, I think couchsurfing is an amazing way for him to learn about different people and different ways of life.

So far I've only been a guest, but I hope one day I'll be able to host too.

PS I know some people prefer to host those who have hosted other, not just travelled. Unfortunately I have never been able to do this, as since I have been a member, I have spent some time living in a small Polish town where I didn't get any couch requests, some time living in a flat in South Korea which was a single room, about 5 metres long and 4 metres wide, some time travelling, and some time living with my parents and unable to host. I hope to host in the future when I have my own place again. I have however 'hosted' in my car (my friend and I met a Greek guy on CS who was trying to get to the same festival as us, and he came on a roadtrip with me to get there)!

Interests

Things I like, in no particular order: books, rock / metal music, driving, road-trips, spontaneity, gin and tonic, blue things, ice-cream, summer, flying, babywearing, cycling, cloth nappies, being a foreigner, learning languages, grammar, good food, Christmas, irn bru, making cakes, swimming, playing the violin, etc, etc
Things I don't like, in no particular order: fog and rain, winter, tequila, hip-hop, people who make films of books I like but change the ending, staying in the same place for too long, etc
