One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Playing with Jack the porpoise. Jack is a harbor porpoise that was rescued by the MMR centre in Vancouver, BC. He couldn't be re-released into the wild, so he needed a lot of human attention to habituate him to us. I would get in his cold pool (5 degrees C) with him for as long as I could stand. He loved to rub against my legs to scratch his skin and have me pet his smooth tummy! He is at the aquarium now so I can't get in the water with him, but he's happy because he has his companion Daisy, a female harbor porpoise that was rescued a few years back.
