Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Sean. I’m an outdoor enthusiast and grad student in hearing research in the US. I spend the majority of my time at home climbing, doing improvisational comedy, or writing music. Every Sunday I try to see a new place that I’ve never seen before. I travel a lot for work/fun and am self sufficient, but always enjoy good conversation and hearing people’s stories! I try to repay kindness any way that I can!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make new friends while traveling and get a truer sense of what a place is like
Interests
I’m especially interested in writing and story telling. I’ve been writing music since I was 18 and started doing improv in the past few years. My favorite part of backpacking trips and other adventures is making new stories with friends and growing as an outdoorsperson. I study neuroscience and hearing loss in grad school- so I’m a big science fan, too!

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly indie rock, folk, and r&b, but I like a lot of things. Pavement, José González, Death Cab for Cutie, Weezer, Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene, David Bazan/Pedro the Lion, Woody Guthrie, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye to name a few. I’m a big fan of adventure/travel books and memoirs.

Teach, Learn, Share
I have an Instagram that I use to catalogue most of my travel for myself, family, and friends @atoms.smash. I’m always happy to try something new or help someone else try something new!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I value kindness above all, so if you let me stay in your home I will be extremely respectful. I’m easygoing, low-maintenance, and enjoy meeting new people. Otherwise I really enjoy being helpful when I can!
