I am a life long Alaskan who recently quit his job to do some long term travelling. I am a very easy going guy and get along well with most anyone I meet. I plan on spending the spring on the East Coast of the US and the summer in Europe. I travel lite but am very self sufficient and need little anywhere I stay. I also travel with full camping gear so even a back yard is great for me. I love humor, conversation and getting to know new people. Also, dogs like me.

Although I have never hosted through CS, I have always welcomed people into my home, whether it is friends of friends, hitchhikers, etc. I have seen both the up and down side of hosting travelers and understand what it means to be a good guest in someones home.

Interests

I really like to hike, camp and be outdoors. When I visit cities I love walking around and looking at the architecture, buildings and layout of the city. Photography, writing, reading.
