Overview
About Me
I'm a singer-songwriter from Vancouver, and because I can do my current job from anywhere with internet access, I've been travelling around Europe. I love to have fun. Like, I know that's a very vague thing to say because everyone likes fun, but a lot of people forget to have it. Valuing work over play is something I hope I never do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've found the best part of travelling isn't the landmarks I see or the foods I try — it's the people I meet! Staying in hostels is good for meeting other travellers, but I'd love to hang out with local people my age.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love classic rock, particularly 60's music. I also really like modern indie and folk music, and lately I've found myself listening primarily to local artists, because Vancouver has a great singer-songwriter scene.
Books: Harry Potter is life. I also love a lot of other fantasy series like The Bartimaeus Trilogy and A Song of Ice and Fire. I love the Hobbit but am not a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings (the reverse is true for the movies). I also enjoy biographies and Dan Brown-style mystery/thrillers!
Movies (I'm somewhat of a child at heart, so a lot of these are cartoons): The Lion King is my all time favourite movie. I love a lot of musicals though, and Frozen is definitely high on the list. The Toy Story trilogy is fantastic too. Another one of my favourite movies (this one isn't a cartoon) is Big Fish. I love comedies, but not RomComs, because they're all the same!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This Summer, a friend and I went on a 12-day treasure hunt road trip that led us to an old bookstore in Santa Fe, the depths of the Rio Grande Canyon, and all around Yellowstone National Park. We narrowly escaped a grizzly bear, and I actually think we got close to the treasure.
You can read about the treasure here if you're interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenn_treasure

What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll serenade you, I can teach you some great games (and be an extra player for games you already know), and we can have some great philosophical discussions. I'm up to take part in anything fun, and I make an excellent drinking buddy!
