Hey everyone and welcome to DC!

I’m Sean and am new to Couchsurfing but am excited to meet fellow travelers from around the world. I’m planning on an around the world trip next year myself and am hoping to pay it forward and host while I’m home here in beautiful DC!

A bit about me: I’m 36 and originally from Seattle but have lived in DC for about 15 years. I work an office job 9-5 in politics but am always looking to do fun things around town during nights and weekends. I’m an avid traveler and try to explore every chance I can, I have an upcoming trip to Indonesia this summer that I am super excited about.

My hosting philosophy: I’m happy to give my guests the option of exploring the city on their own according to their schedule or go exploring with them if they’d like. I know the city well (and absolutely love its history and position as the center of national and international politics!) and am happy to show off the city to new people.

I’m a big reader and love history and biographic books. I’m into a mix of music depending on the setting including rock for chilling out (Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Coldplay) and hip hop and electronic when working out.
