About Me

Hello, I'm Sean. My first 18 years were pretty standard (at least in my mind) and uneventful. The past 5 years have been the opposite. Between school and work I have gotten to live in the US (of course), Sweden, Kyrgyzstan, and I got to spend a while backpacking through India. Super random and diverse places, I know, but it has been a fun and enriching ride. During this time, I've been back-and-forth between pursuing a Bachelor's in Intercultural Studies (set to finish spring '20) and International Business internships.
In case you're wondering, I try to live as simple, clean, and healthy as possible. I prefer not to smoke, drink or hang around the party scene too much. It's cool if you're into that, but I tend to find my joy elsewhere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm just a guy that really appreciates people who are different from myself. I think this is why I have such a travel bug. I believe that there is something to learn from everyone, especially if we are wired quite differently. For this reason, I look forward to meeting anybody and everybody, hearing their story, and learning from their life.
God bless.

Interests

I'm down for anything outdoors, anything that will push me physically, stretch me mentally, or expand my horizons socially.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything that displays talent. Currently on an 80s binge.

Movies: Braveheart, Les Miserables, Lord of the Rings, anything that messes with your brain (e.g. Inception or Shutter Island).

Books: The Bible, Wild at Heart, Knowledge of the Holy, Into the Wild.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like I have officially met a country once I've been a patient in their hospitals. By this meter, I am officially acquainted with Kyrgyzstan (got a hockey puck to the mouth) and India (good ole c-diff). Amazing stuff, right?
