About Me

Currently living on 15 beautiful acres slightly east of Nashville with my lady (Candice), I am cultivating the land and have started an organic farm. We are extremely fond of nature. Camping, hiking, canoeing, gardening, etc...

We are respectful, honest, clean, hospitable, and positive.
Very free spirited + open minded, just trying to live a sustainable of a lifestyle and live our best!

We offer great conversation, yet also enjoy/respect personal space.
We embody the 'leave no trace' mentality, whether in the forest or your home.
I hope to connect with you!

In case you are interested: our farm grows vegetables, herbs, flowers, and most recently hemp/cbd.

*Covid 19 update: Candi and I are vaccinated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it is important for our society to re-evaluate the way we progress.
I have always been a firm believer that the more we work together, the better we become as a society, and we need to rethink the way we live all aspects of our lives, including travel and lodging.

Couchsurfing embodies this idea that we, as a community, can support each other.
The appeal in Couchsurfing to me is not only finding that alternative (and 'inexpensive') way to travel, but to meet the local community in which we travel to and have a more direct + engaging time.

What can I say? We like to meet people when travelling, and hope that when folks come out to the Nashville, TN area, Candi and I can offer them the same personal experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books (2022 reading list):
Sapiens, 21 lessons for the 21st century, Homo Deus, The Laws of Human Nature, Atomic Habits, Mastery, The 48 Laws of Power, How to win Friends and Influence People, Think and Grow RICH, Mans Search for Meaning, The Power of your Subconscious Mind, Meditations, The Richest Man in Babylon, The Autobiography of Nikola Tesla, Emotional Intelligence 2.0, (and more....)

Music:
Cliche, but ALL MUSIC. I also can jam out on a guitar and Candi loves to dance.
Everything from Bluegrass to Hip-Hop to Jazz.
But... if you looked at my spotify recently played list you'd find a lot of jazz playlists, Jack Johnson, Bonobo, and then more jazz.

Movies:
Educational documentaries or, depending on the mood, possibly a comedy.
I also like Quentin Tarintino's and the Cohen Brothers films (Candi dislikes violent movies and horror)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't give just one, so here's 2:

- Started a farm. We grow LITERAL FOOD from the ground and then eat that food. And like.... a lot of food. From seed to harvest - it's probably the most impressive thing about us: we can cultivate the land!

- Hiked hundreds of miles. Mainly in Tennessee, usually east TN including the Smoky Mountains. Also, hiked some of the Rockies in CO, and some awesome trails in the Pacific NW USA.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A genuine connection.
We will offer our gratitude for welcoming us into your home, and commit to being mindful during our stay with you. A nice place to stay is great, and if the host is unable to interact much that's perfectly okay with us, we will be respectful and give space when that's the case. When possible, we always enjoy sharing conversations, especially over a meal we cook for us all to enjoy together.

I hope to connect with you on this journey called LIFE!
