Overview
About Me
I'm an easy going, friendly and fun-loving dude from Australia. I love meeting all kinds of people from all different walks of life, and I love talking about a wide range of subjects.
I love music, films, books, TRAVELLING, writing, getting outdoors and just sitting in cafes and talking about stuff.
I'm on Couchsurfing for the chance to meet locals from different countries and cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to meet locals and see how they live, work and play. "Free accommodation" is really just a bonus. If accommodation cannot be offered, that's totally cool. I'm happy to meet up and do stuff together anyway. I have a bit of Couchsurfing experience and I'm always a grateful and respectful guest.
Interests
Music, travelling, films, sitting in cafes, coffee (hence the cafes), going out and meeting people, the great outdoors.
Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to movies I am a MASSIVE fan of comedies. I like films that either make you laugh or make you think or make you feel.
I love anything from Frank Zappa to Bob Dylan when it comes to music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've participated in a hitchhiking competition in Denmark, spent five days in the Thar Desert in India on a camel safari, climbed an active volcano in Indonesia independently, met the tattooed faced women of Chin State in Myanmar, "starred" in a CS documentary in the Philippines, walked around the entire length of Malta in three days and spent Holi in Varanasi, India. I also completed two 10 day Vipassana meditation courses – in Indonesia and Spain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can play guitar. I studied philosophy, sociology and politics (international relations). I did some research in mental health and the media. I used to be a travel agent so can provide some interesting information on getting cheap flights around the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my stories from the road and can also help you with your English if you'd like to practice with a real native speaker.
