Overview
About Me
I work as organizer on climate change, and my job involves training and strategizing with advocacy organizations across the Midwest. I love my work and I'm lucky to be able to do it.
Basketball is a lot of my free time -- I play a few different groups, usually 3-4 days a week -- and I also love music, art museums, biking, reading, hiking, travelling....
I think of myself as someone who respects and can get along with all types of people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've used couchsurfing sporadically when stopping through new places, usually for work related trips. I really like the concept of it -- community, openness, getting to know people from the place you're in.
Interests
If I'm visiting a new city the first things I 'd want to check out are the art museums or spots with music.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I was an English major in college, and wish I was in a setting like that where I could talk about books with people. Some of what I like a lot: Kurt Vonnegut, "No Exit," "The Stranger," "On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous"
Some movies: Dr Strangelove, Do the Right Thing, Pi, Inception
Music: Beatles (White Album and Abbey Road), Talking Heads, Tribe Called Quest, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and then a lot of newer stuff too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking in Zion National Park in Utah and seeing it snow with the sun out.
I've lived and spent time in: LA (10 years), NYC (1 year), Florence Italy (1 summer), Holland (my mother is Dutch and I went there once a year until I was 20), Greece, SF, San Diego, Colorado, Florida...some more too.
