ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing person that loves the outdoors and exploring. I am constantly looking for a new adventure and somewhere new to go. I am open minded, care free and laid back and looking to make new friends and broaden my horizons. Most people would describe me as strong willed but friendly and sometimes a little quiet, but that's because I believe sometimes its better to just listen and reflect rather.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am fairly new to couch surfing, at the moment I am travelling to US and India and will be away from home for 6 months during which I plan to do a bit of couch surfing and gain some experience with this brilliant idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couched surfed in Austria for a couple of nights, which was brilliant and so so much fun and completely added to the whole experience. Back home in South Africa my experience is limited, my girlfriend and hosted a Brazilian couch surfer for a night and took him for drinks at a local bar.

兴趣

I have a deep-seeded love for photography and it has become a consuming passion of mine. I enjoy a variety of music from trance, drum and bass to indie, and death metal (pretty varied).. I also play a bit of guitar in my spare time. I love sport and keeping physically fit.. I am also in constant awe and confusion by the workings of the cosmos and universe and I have a passion for physics which carried me through my mechanical engineering degree.

I am currently reading The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking, which is a brilliant illustrated guide to the Universe, although my mind still can't quite grasp some of the concepts but I'll keep trying.

One of my favorite movies of all time has to be Fight Club, just for the twisted humour, irony and some of the best life lessons.

Music wise, my tastes vary widely from indie, classical music, psytrance, drum n bass, hardstyle, acoustic rock and blues to death metal. If it speaks to me then I'll listen.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've run naked across the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in Botswana.

We had spent the day digging our land rover out of meters of thick mud and eventually reached the campsite. To celebrate we stripped down and charged across the pans during one of the most spectacular sunsets of the trip.

I have gained a little knowledge of some of the laws of physics that govern our world and would love to share some insight.

I have a uniquely South African culture and would love to share some of our country's turbulent history and culture.

I also have a number of skills and views about photography, and I can sort of play guitar pretty well.
